Milan Show; Bimota DB7

Bimota DB7

Just beautiful, really unique.

Yep, Bimota have a credible superbike now they can use the 1098 Ducati motor, rather than the old Multistrada unit, albeit tweaked a bit by Bimota technicians.

It’s a real step up for Bimota, which is a tiny factory located in Rimini, about the size of your average PC world store.

What’s the DB7 about then? Svelte chassis; wonderful details, like the swingarm, rear axle mounts, the offset rear shock, all that carbon fibre. Awesome Brembo brakes, milled hand-crafted alloy billet bits all over the place…Just pure engineering.

Estimated price is about £17,000, delivery in March/April 2008.

Bimota just hired an ex Ducati marketing guy as well, so watch out for more Duke engined Bimota models later in 2008.

insider.
